The Little Things

I have a habit of spraying my pillows and sheets with rose water before bed. It's a ritual that brings me joy, and I look forward to doing it every night.

When I think about my life, I think about the big things. What job should I have? Where should I live? Who are my friends? Am I happy?

I am naturally a deep thinker, and I can easily get swept away in my thoughts. It's natural to think of the things that loom large in our futures, but it's important to remember the little things as well. I may devote more of my time and energy into my job, for example, but the small habits or quirks that I have may give more insight into my personality than my job does.

I am passionate about my future. My dreams of what I can achieve guide my actions. Still, I cannot give up the present for dreams of an unknown future. I must remind myself to experience the present, and allow myself to be grounded by it. I must remember to find joy in the little things.
